CEMRE SHIPYARD, one of Turkey’s leading shipbuilding companies, has successfully hired 150 qualified shipyard workers from India through its partnership with Mycon Engineering.
The project, which started on October 1, 2024, is still ongoing and includes the deployment of:
Welders (GTAW+SMAW, GMAW+FCAW)
Grinders
Cleaners
Helpers
These professionals have been assigned to Cemre I, Cemre II, and Cemre III zones at the company’s large-scale Altınova shipyard.
Operating on a 175,500 m² site, CEMRE SHIPYARD has:
A 30,000-ton annual steel processing capacity
Three active yard zones
A strong focus on environmentally friendly and sustainable marine technologies

The world’s first hybrid wind turbine support vessel powered by bio-methanol
A live fish carrier with an 8,000 m³ capacity
A zero-emission passenger vessel powered by a 10 MWh battery system
All deployed workers were trained and certified at Mycon Engineering’s training facilities in India, ensuring compliance with international shipbuilding and welding standards.
